It is so SIMPLE...
Each time we practice yoga we are fine tuning and refining our ability to be self aware. This allows us to change and grow. Part of this process is letting go of tension that no longer serves us and maybe never did. Instead savoring the qualities in all of us that are light, relaxed, and free. Notice the parts of our body that are relaxed and pay attention to that place and that feeling. So often we notice where we are tight, where we hold tension and what we can't do. For now notice where you feel great!!! Let that area that is relaxed and light spread. Let the lightness and freedom influence any spots that are still tight and coax them into letting go. Find that feeling of spaciousness anywhere, anytime. When we follow this process of feeling what it is to be relaxed, we can relax in any situation! This gives us the tools to think forward, to keep a sense of well being even in stressful times. It is so simple....You Let GO!

Cushions are not just for the sofa...
Build buffers into your off-hour plans. Cushions aren't just for the sofa! Don't schedule you, family or friends to the microsecond. Intentionally create spaces that could accommodate a second cup of coffee, and unexpected visit or a short mid-morning nap in the hammock.
Your Brain on Yoga
"Yoga is the ending of the disturbances of the mind." (Yoga Sutra, 1.2)
Nothing is quite as satisfying as a yoga practice that's filled with movement.Wheter you prefer and intense and sweaty practice, a gentle deliberate practice, or something in between, all systems of hatha yoga provide a contented afterglow for the same reason: You sync your movement with your breath. When you do, your mind stops its obsessive churning and begins to slow down. Your attention turns from your endless to-do list towards the rhythm of your breath, and you feel more peaceful than you did before you began your practice.
For many of us, accessing the same settled, contented state is more difficult to do by yourself. It's not easy to watch your mind reveal its worries, its self-criticism or its old memories. This requires patience and even more challenging for most of us is time. So why do you put yourself through the struggle?
Quite simply, yoga and relaxation can profoundly alter your experience of life. Thousands of years ago the sage Patanjali, who compiled the Yoga Sutra, promised that the practice of yoga could eliminate the suffering caused by an "UNTAMED" mind. He taught his students to cultivate focused attention, compassion and joy. He believed it was possible to change one's mental powers and emotional patterns by regularly experiencing meditative states.
Science has proven that meditating actually restructures your brain and can train it to concentrate, feel greater compassion, cope with stress and more. SO put it into practice.

Breathing is a very important aspect of our life...
There is a saying that goes " LIFE IS BREATH AND BREATH IS LIFE". So as long as there is breath in our body, there is life.
Our physical health, mental balance and emotional stability are all affected in the manner we breath. When we breath well our respiratory system works its best, by using the capacity of the lungs. There is a remarkable improvement in digestive, circulation and elimination process. This will improve your state of mind and physically you will feel better. The quality of your breath also affects the functioning of all the systems of the body, and the quality of your entire life.
Improper breathing techniques is the root cause to a number of illnesses. People become droopy and lazy and they consider it a normal condition, which is it is not.
Good breathing techniques have many benefits and is slow, full, deep and rhythmic
1.Improves your sleep pattern
2.It aids in calming the mind, nerves, and emotions
3.Improves all mental processes including concentration and memory
4.Tension is released
5.It supplies more oxygen to the body cells and so blood is purified
6.Helps to overcome tiredness and to rejuvenate energy
Remember to just BREATH!!

Keep it in perspective...
Recognize the overflowing laundry hamper, the pile of dishes in the sink, & the growing stack of paper on your desk, for what they really are - signs of LIFE AND jobs that never end....Keep them in perspective.
Your choices are important!
On the surface, today is another day- but in reality it is much more than that. Today you are making choices to help you experience better health and wellness.
Think about how you treat your body and mind. From what foods you choose to nourish your body to what you tell yourself. Your choices are important!
