Yoga is not just about poses. It is about blending them together, creating your own practice, facing challenges and keeping peaceful even when it is hard to balance and things are getting pretty twisty. Your flexibility level does not matter. The things you learn in yoga can have an amazing effect on your life, too. Your yoga practice can calm your mind and help you to drop petty, obsessive thoughts. The time you spend on your yoga mat creates time and space for your mind to rest and meditate. Let yourself be open and receptive to the messages coming to you. When your brain is still, can you hear your heart? Meditation is hearing, receiving, and just being still. Sit still, smile, close your eyes and try to find a quiet, compassionate place.
